Transnational Network

YES! (Young and Early-Career Scholars) is a peer-led platform for emerging feminist geographers. Affiliated to the Commission on Gender and Geography of the International Geographical Union, it was officially launched in 2016 during the Commission’s pre-conference in Barcelona. The aim of YES! is to create opportunities for networking, mentoring and sharing. Over the years YES! has organised in-person and online events that showcase early-career research, scholarship and feminist concerns. YES! firmly believes in peer-to-peer support and is committed to advancing communication and sharing between feminists geographers across generations worldwide. We are particularly keen to promote new membership in the Commission from early-career scholars and to foster transnational collaborative networks. As part of the current steering committee, I co-organise monthy online network gatherings and collective writing sessions, and co-produce our podcast, YES! Loud and Clear: a podcast on feminist geographies.
