The 50th Tribunal on Crimes Against Women

Antwerp, Belgium

2026WOMEN is a transnational artivist project led by Madam Fortuna, an participatory, bottom-up artistic lab in Antwerp, Belgium. Since 2022, the initiative aims to reflect on and confront the many forms of violence inflicted on women and their entanglement with other systemic exclusions. Through the practice of diverse artistic forms, the participants have formed a growing community where, by developing our inner talents in a supportive space, we strengthen our self-esteem and increase our autonomy.
One of the project’s major milestones is the 50th Anniversary Tribunal on Crimes Against Women, an independent people’s feminist tribunal whose first edition was held in Brussels in 1976. Combining academic, artistic, and participatory democracy workshops, this edition of the Tribunal, which will be held on March 25-28, 2026 in Antwerp and Brussels, is expected to bring together around 1000 women to debate, co-create, and propose bottom-up alternatives to advance gender justice.
